Happy St. Patricks Day!
I love this day because it reminds me of my family and history.
Growing up an O'Brien, I was always in tune to my Irish hertiage and background. The "fiesty Irish" temper runs rampant in our family! :) I say it's just passion.
I wore green today (so did Lane!) and I went to an Irish pub for lunch and attempted to have a beer. I don't like drinking during the day so I just took a few sips. The Irish music was really loud and it was crowded with a lot of crazy Irish people.
Lane and I, more I, have decided that when we have kids we are going to have corned beef and cabbage and AT LEAST some kind of potatoe on March 17th. I looked up the last name Arnold today and it is English and German. I am going to try and do more research and figure out which one so we can celebrate an English or German Holiday.
Luck O' the Irish!
I'll leave you with a famous Irish blessing:
"May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you
In the palm of his hand."
